Download Microsoft's Exchange Server 2016 Preview

Back in May, Microsoft announced that a preview of Exchange Server 2016 would arrive later in the year - and today, it has. The new preview is available to download now, and unsurprisingly, the company is touting it as the best thing since... well, since Exchange 2013.

Microsoft says that "this version of Exchange is special because it was born in the cloud", adding that it's "excited to include the worldwide Exchange community" in the development of the new product.
Key improvements in Exchange 2016 include:
  • Simplified architecture
  • Improved reliability
  • New Outlook web experience

  • Greater extensibility
  • Faster and more intuitive search
  • Enhanced Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
  • Faster and more scalable eDiscovery
  • Auto-expanding archives
  • Hybrid improvements
You can find out more details on each of these areas of improvement on Microsoft's Exchange Team Blog, but it's worth highlighting the changes to Outlook in particular. In addition to "numerous performance improvements" and a better mobile experience, the Outlook Web App will now be known as 'Outlook on the web', and comes with a ton of new features including:
  • Sweep
  • Pin
  • Undo
  • Inline reply
  • Ability to propose new time for meeting invites
  • A new single-line inbox view
  • Improved HTML rendering
  • Better formatting controls
  • Ability to paste inline images
  • New themes
  • Emoji support
...and more. Further info on Exchange Server 2016 is available in Microsoft's Office Mechanics video below:

Microsoft says that "between preview and final release, we'll add additional features, such as updates to auditing architecture and audit log search" to the Exchange Server 2016 Preview. Further document collaboration features will also be enabled once betas of SharePoint Server 2016 and Office Web App Server are shipped.

Nokia has reportedly sold HERE Maps to Audi, BMW and Daimler

We first heard about Nokia's intentions to sell its mapping arm a few months ago and in that time, the company has seen multiple bids - including a $3 billion bid from Uber, which the company later rejected. It seems that the negotiations are now over and the Finnish company has finally decided to go with BMW, Audi and Daimler, with a bid of $2.71 billion.
According to the report by the Wall Street Journal:
Nokia has been negotiating exclusively with the three car makers over the sale of the company, whose development of high-definition real-time digital maps is seen as a core technology in the development of self-driving vehicles, and a vast array of future automotive safety systems. The car companies intend to purchase all of Nokia Here and then invite other global auto makers to take stakes in the company, the person said.
While Nokia is off-loading one of its most iconic products, the company is already starting to thrive with its research on mobile networks and has also announced its intention to reenter the smartphone industry as soon as its allowed to do so next year. The former king of the mobile world is also having a mystery event next week, possibly related to its HERE Maps service.

A Smartphone That Is Unbreakable & Waterproof

Turing Phone Claimed to Be
Unhackable, Unbreakable, and
Waterproof ->

Engineers have developed a unique smartphone
that is unhackable and built from a special metal
that is even stronger than titanium and steel,
supposedly making it unbreakable.
.
Called the Turing Phone , the smartphone's end-
to-end encryption is built into most of the core
apps on the phone.
Users can activate the Turing Phone, developed by
San Francisco-based Turing Robotic Industries, via
a fingerprint reader on the side of the device,
Wired.com reported .
.
The 5.5-inch phone has no USB port and no
headphone jack. It is made of a material called
liquidmorphium that is stronger than steel or
aluminium and apparently the next big thing in
phones.
.
Apple is already using the material in small
quantities in its iPhone 6 models.
The phone is also extraordinarily waterproof
owing to a nano-coating on the internals. No
rubber is used and everything is accessible and
open.
.
If you put the Turing Phone in the water, it is not
designed to be sealed and water will get in. Just
pull it out, shake it off and you are ready to use
it without any problem.
.
The phone is available for pre-order starting July
31, beginning at $610 (roughly Rs. 38,700) for a
16GB model, said Syl Chao, CEO of Turing
Robotic Industries. It runs on Android 5.1
Lollipop with Turing Aemaeth UI, and comes in
three colour variants - Pharaoh, Cardinal, and
Beowulf.
.
Other specifications of the Turing Phone include a
5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixel) display;
2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC; 3GB of
RAM; 16/32/64GB storage models; a 13-megapixel
rear camera with dual-LED flash; an 8-megapixel
front-facing camera; 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac,
Bluetooth 4.0 LE; NFC; GPS/ Glonass; and a non-
removable 3000mAh battery. Sensors include
fingerprint, accelerometer, gryoscope,
magnetometer, proximity, ambient light,
temperature, and humidity.
